The new-new plan

So I've been dieting for... a couple months now really. Still just limiting my carb intake. I've even been exercising sporadically some. Anyway I want to start a more definite plan. I seem to do better when I feel at least somewhat accountable, as such I'll be keeping account here. I plan to start in earnest on the 4th (I'm patriotic that way) but I've been doing a little bit here and there in preparation.


Diet:
I'm going to use the Calorie Counter app from Fatsecret to track my intake. It is my plan to replace two meals (breakfast and lunch) with shakes and have whatever Mary makes for dinner. It's a bit of a hassle to enter in Dinners this way, but I'll try to guestimate what I have. I'll likely still have snack nuts in the evening. Oh, and I'll also take a daily multi-vitamin just in case. I already drink water by the vat-load so I'm sure that won't be an issue. I know this might not be the most sustainable plan, but it is simple and clear cut so I suspect I can follow it for now. Let's say 9 weeks at least.

Exercise:
I'm going to take a stab at this C25K thing that I see other people doing. I'm going to use my elliptical and probably at a pace slower than an actual jogger, but still it is a neat program and hopefully I'll be able to follow it. Maybe someday I'll transition to actual running, but I'd surely hurt myself if I tried it now. So that's three days a week of cardio. I'd also like to add in some weights and I have free access to two wellness centers so I should be able to do that. But... I'm pretty lazy and scheduling in that change on top of the others might not happen anytime soon. I'll just set a vague goal of doing that at some point and leave it at that for now.
